HELP car shut Down and lights diming

ok so heres whats been going on, for the past few days my cd player has been reseting the presets for the radio, and then tonight i was out riding around and my headlights cut off and then so did my cd player for a second and come back on. then a little ways down the road the radio cut off again, so i had to go by my work and while i was talking i had the driver door open and the interior lights were flickering with my cams at idle, so i left there and on the way back to my house my cluster lights and headlights all cut off and come right back on and my antilock brakes light came on and stayed on for a sec then cut off, and so im just about to my house when the car cuts off and all the lights go out, the lights came back on tho, so i coast into my driveway and cut the switch off. and i tried to crank it back up and it fired right back up with out any strain on the battery? what do u think is causing this?? i was thinking alternator but why would the car crank right back up? any help is greatly appreciated!

ok so i just got home and tried to crank it once again, on the first try all i got was a click and the interior light went out, on the second try it fired up, so i unplugged the negative side off the battery and it stayed running, so i guess battery is out...so i turned my lights and radio on and the voltmeter dropped from 14.6 down to 13.5 and went back up, but when i flash my high beams the car stumbles and acts like its gonna cut off and the cel lit for a sec but went back out once the car builds the idle back up. so im guessing the alternator is on its way out??

haha idk if this helps but i installed an after market intake on my srt-4 and the same exact thing was happeneing to me and i couldnt figure it out. anyway long story short i found out the metal intake was rubbing up against the posiive side of the battery . Maybe your upper intercooler pipe is doing the same. Just a thought .

I seen this same problem with another car in NC. We replaced the battery and Alternator and all his problems were gone. Had me puzzled too.
