You are saying 25 MD AWHP from just you porting a 10.5 housing on a Red, with everything else remaining unchanged: includes same peak boost level(30#), same mods and parts, same tune, same AFR's, same octane, same DYNO, dynoed under same conditions, same ambient temps, etc., same timing up top, and same fuel table?

^ Sparky, yes everything would be the same at first. I'll post up direct swap than tuning difference. We will prob do it on pump and E85 before and after.

O.K., Mikey! R/T Ernie should have at least invited us all down to Los Cabos, though! Don't you think, Rockster? LOL

Yeah, it is definitely a tall order. Just for comparison's sake, a fully ported Buschur Race cylinderhead adds about 15 MD AWHP.

All else remaining equal, it would require a considerable, "Leap of Faith" to prognosticate a 25 MD AWHP increase from merely massaging a 10.5 housing. I don't think it is doable on a 2-Liter. Especially if boost levels, fuel tables, and timing maps and all power mods remain strictly unaltered.

I'm pushing a lot of Air through the Red though... We will just have to see. I can tell you that the port work will be damn good and better than anything ever seen. bling bling.

But for real, I think we will see some good gains. It is a bone stock 10.5 and the cast suck and the stock twin scroll design sucks for flow. imho I also think the higher boost I start to run, above 30psi the more the porting will start to help.

You are a smart guy sparky and have been around for a long time and I respect you and your thoughts. I always seem to learn from you. I'll keep you posted as things progress...

Rockster: It might be doable because Mikey is running 30# of boost. Turbine housing porting is similar to O2 dumps in that you have to be running relatively high boost levels to note a significant power difference. I just think that it will be tough to get 25 MD AWHP, even at 30#. Of course, it is just my opinion. I hope to be proven wrong as i am a big fan of Mikey's car and totally respect R/T Ernie's fab work. Cheers! I am just playing the Devil's Advocate.

Thanks Sparky! I'm sure Eric likes the kind words. At 30psi and direct swap I expect 15hp. Eric thinks 25hp but Eric is usually close... We should start a gay vote

It's kinda like a race ported cylinder head. If the porting guy goes for max flow volume, then you need a radical enough camshaft profile to take advantage of the increased flow potential of the ported head.

Maybe Mikey and Ernie can get 25+ out of the turbine housing port work. But, I just feel that they'll have to turn the boost up to 32-34#. Of course, I am rooting for them!
