No the spring is the same as the Tial I believe. It has two springs in it. It is not suppose to flutter because the lighter spring is for low boost just driving around town and the second heavier spring in for high boost. So ya there are two springs inside. One inside of another. I didn't take it apart but I'm pretty sure that is what Turbosmart told me

Mikey
With the Tial the two springs work together to increase the total spring pressure. There is no switch between high and low boost, unless you take out a spring or change the springs themselves...

If you have two springs in your BOV, pray tell how one only works during "low" boost and the other during "high" boost. What dictates which one is controlling boost at any given time?

^ all I know is what turbosmart told me. They said because of their two spring design I wouldn't have low boost flutter, that's why I went with them and not Tial. I never took the bov apart so I'm not sure if the Raceport is the exact same as the Tial.

The RacePort is an amazing BOV and I love it. It is a direct replica of the Tial 50mm. I honestly like it more though. There is not a lot of info on the web about it I have nothing bad to say at all. It def doesn't leak boost at all

Hey guys, sorry for not keeping you informed on the progress. We ran into a bit of a delay with some of the custom parts we had to order We were hoping to have everything ready to dyno this weekend but that won't happen.

Tuesday my car goes to ER for my LR2.4 build and we will be doing the before and after of the two housings on the 2.4 rather than the 2.0. Figure the gains would be even better on a 10:1 LR2.4 w/ 288 cams and 40+psi than the stock motor on 30psi. Things should be really interesting.

Looks like the car will be broke in and on the rolls sometime in the middle of April. I will keep everyone updated I can't wait to see the results but I think waiting till the motor build is done will net us the most gains anyway. I think a 25hp gain on a direct swap with be easy!

Aaron that looks great. I'm sure Eric will have some dope pictures soon... Not sure when we are going to release the design. Prob after the before and after dyno... Or we may just keep it a mystery.
