having a monster high horsepower car definitely grabs attention and that's good for a shops marketing dept but it doesn't always equal great track times. Sometimes I'm tempted to do a 1000+awhp build but then I think about how useless it would be in the real world.

This is true. The car would literally spin all four tires in 1st, 2nd, & part of 3rd gear. And it was due to how the power was delivered. Funny thing is, it made less tq than large T3 setups... But the power continues to build at higher rpm, so if it spins, itll continue until you let off. It did some damage on the highway once it was moving, but yeah difficult to manage at the track. Not to mention the high hp at high rpm made for harsh shifting environments for the 5spd. I think both scenarios could be done right, I just dont feel like getting into a dogbox and starting to see that I dont need that much hp for my goals. But it was a fun ride for sure! I am sure the hta94 will bring back some response and should help w track goals & still have high hp potential. If anything im definately learning alot w this car, lol

most of the fast guys didn't get the combo right on the first try unless they just copied somebody elses setup. You guys were definitely off the beaten path trying some new things.

Chris, you're running the BR stg3 cyl head right? W/ the orings?
I just thought about that... I wonder how much of a relevant role those are playing.

I didnt want to o-ring just yet... so HOPEFULLY the L19s and Cosworth gasket will offer the same seal as an oem gasket/std ARPs w/ an oringed head. I dunno, we'll see i guess LOL!

Hey Tom, I had buschur assemble the head to the block while it was there so I didn't get to see exactly what they did but I assume so.
