Best EBC for the money?

Hey just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for an EBC...been considering the Greddy PRofec E-01, but is it worth the $$$? Would an older used Ebay unit be just as good? Just looking to get a slight boost increase and make it more steady.

The Greddy not worth the $$$...read up on Direct Boost control with a 3-port or talk to your tuner about it...you wont regret it.

I totally agree with ^. Don't spend more money on EBCs. Drop about $99 on a GM 3 port and spend the other hundreds on other mods. I ditched my MBC for a 3 port and don't regret it at all. (3 port holds boost better)

3 port with factory boost? How exactly does this benefit me if the boost is still being controlled by the ecm? And the reason I would prefer an ebc over mbc is to be able to vary boost based on rpm and gear selection.

If you are interested I have a EVC-S for sale. I'll do 200 shipped. I had it on the car for only a few weeks. It is a great EBC. I think the EVC-S and the AEM Tru-Boost is one of the best EBC in the $400 range.

If you want to do ECU controlled boost grab up a 3port. If you want a high dollar EBC the EVC6 is pretty dope. My friend has one and it is amazing. You can do rpm base boost just like the ECU controlled boost.

^Yup YUP

I'm not running V7 yet but I did switch over from a Blitz EBC which I loved till I switched over to a GrimmSpeed EBCS I love this thing. At 3900rpm I hit 29psi and fall to 28 psi and holds all the way to 8k. The ECU's boost error correction is very good too if you over boost or under boost the ecu will make the neccesary correction every .1 sec until you reach the boost you have set. I would never go back to EBC or MBC. Plus my EBCS is plug and play and mounts perfectly to the body of the car. Check it out https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/se...peed-ebcs.html

just like what other people are saying, talk to your tuner. but if he is good with ecuflash he shouldn't have a problem setting up a good ecu controlled boost with a 3-port. i came from an mbc and i like the 3 port much better as you can fully control the boost curve and it is able to hold boost much better than an mbc most of all if you are on stock turbo. i have tuned a car with a greddy ebc but not the e-01 and its not that good at all IMHO.

Don't have any tuners near me as far as I am aware of....plus it's hard for me to pay someone else to work on my car when I work on them for a living (not mitsu in particular). I'm gonna go with the HKS EVC-s mentioned in this post and see how that works for me for now...maybe in the future I'll go with ecu flashing.

I love my ebc. It is easy to adjust on the fly and shows the peak boost seen. I have had it for a long time. I switched for a hallman pro mbc.
