It depends on your tune and the way you drive. Ther're evo owners that have been driving around with over 400 tq/500 whp for some time now and then they're the others, may their eng RIP. My advice is to be conservative, cautious and responsible with the way you drive and set up your tune, until you can do a eng build for your peace of mind.

rrodsss aangryyy!!! It sounds like they are going to hulk out. I am just at 400 wtq on a DJ. I hope mine can stay calm for a while...before the rage takes over.

I'm a responsible driver. A bit too passive at times, but I don't want to build my car to be a grenade that I have to hold. I went reliability. I thought maybe by upping the size of the turbo, I could keep a good range in power(450~) while keeping the tq controllable(380~390). <Thosr numbers on a mustang dyno. My tuner is GREAT with E85 and knows what he 's doing. So I don't have to worry on my tuner's part.

I think that you should be fine as long as you are not trying to peg your rev limiter around corners, topping out 5th, etc. Stuff happens as we all know so just be prepared for the eventual. You can get lots of miles (more likely) or be the unlucky guy who blows at 350 wtq. You won't know till you go for it.

What about the stock crank?

How strong is it? What about the 4G64 crank, is that strong?

550/425 should be the limit on stock bock with the Black. The tq is what will destroy your motor.

I love everytime I see someone recommending head studs, it really makes me laugh. Get a good solid conservative tune and you should be fine unless you just have one of those motors thats weak.

Im sooooo tempted to just go with it but i don't want to get all boost happy one day then boom! There goes a motor with only 15,000miles on it because i modded it. lol I will get a conservative tune if i decide to go with this turbo. Is there any way i can do something to strengthen the motor without a rebuild?
Thanks.

I was on the stock block with the FP RED with meth at about 30psi for about a year and a half with no problem. I was putting down 510 to the wheels. I just build my block now only because I upgraded to a 6262 turbo setup.

The TQ curve come on so early on this turbo. With it coming on so early is what is blowing motors? I do like the Black but for some reason I like how the HP and TQ of a HTA 35R follow one another on a dyno graph. Kinda torn between the 2 turbos.

stock internals with the listed upgrades hold Red with25-30Psi boost, 1 year about 20k kilometers and evrth is OK
also a lot depends on ECUFlash to have a lot power or a lot reliability

about manifold I think tehre is no better setup then Fullrace street + FP turbos)

I think in this case the most weak part will be clutch

can`t wait to swap Red=>Black already on its way to Ukraine)
