OEM, Redline, and Amsoil, you can't go wrong. I used OEM for 40k, then I installed the FP Red and made the switch to Redline Shockproof heavy. With my next change I am going to try Amsoil (SRN) SAE 190.

^That.....Redine FTMFW.

I've been using this exact combo since the drivetrain was brand new. I drained the OEM fluids as soon as i brought the car home and replaced with Redline fluids, been running Redline ever since. TC is in perfect shape with no metal shavings on mag plug.

Side note, you can also use Redline Heavy Shock proof in the rear diff, but will need a friction modifier to keep the clutch pack from making noise when turning(not hurting anything, just annoying). Although, i started using Redline 75-w90 in the rear diff and never looked back....it's as quiet as can be.

In my years of tuning, i always swore by Redline, because i saw again and again that it works and works well.

Amsoil is good stuff too and if you wanted to use their offerings, it would be fine. They're making some great products. I would switch to Amsoil, but i'm really sold on the Redline, as it's all my drivetrain has ever really seen.

i vaguely remember sean ivey telling me the redline is good but diaqueen is better in the long run as redline can breakdown quicker. he said if fluid is changed often its fine.

I don't doubt you, but i have a hard time believing the Diaqueen is going to last longer than a full synthetic Redline stock or even Amsoil....etc.

Redline heavy shockproof or Diaqueen in the Transfer, both work well.
I use the Diaqueen in my evo and have never broken transfer case.

I was also told by a reputable trans builder in the to use the OEM 6-speed fluid in my 5-speed transmission, or use a 50/50 mix of Redline Heavyweight Shockproof and Valvoline 80W-90 as a 2nd option.

yes this is good, it also depends what you use your car for, I hear if it's a DD then you should stick with diaqueen. If you track it and pretty much just track it or running high horsepower then use redline
