ok while i was driving to the gas station a few weeks ago <normal easy driving> i went from first to second and just felt like i missed the gear or something so i just poped it in third and continued on my way till the next light. then i noticed that i had no first or second gear and it was like nothing was even their. car drives fine with other gears but was towed regardless to the shop. i looked over all the linkage and it is all good and the problem is in the transmission. i suspect that mabey a retaining pin for the first and second gear fork just fell out but dont have much experience with transmissions. can anyone give me any advice or help?

 

A bent shift rail inside the transmission could be the issue. Is it like hitting a wall when going trying to go into 1st and 2nd?

no it is like nothin is their, smooth as buter. no noise no anything

 

You still have 5th and reverse?

 

yes i have all my other gears, and they all work fine. no noice, stiffness or anything. just feels like their isnt anything at all for the first two gears
