A bad driver will ruin anything, its all about shifting nice and easy so the syncros mesh properly then it will last for what ever your throwing at it.

As far as T cases are concerned, thats just an area where the car is taking abuse and will break. Put on crappy tires and burn out big stickys blew up drivetrains.
