Evans Coolant Has anyone used it?
Has anyone used evans coolant in an evo yet? Supposidly it has no water in it but has a much higher boiling point and is a true lifetime coolant?
Please comment if you have used this or know someone who has.
Thanks

back in my old mr2 days, many years ago, they were talking about this stuff on the boards. I know someone who used it with no issues, but at the same time no dramatic improvements either. It lets you run hotter coolant temps without boiling over as easily. Its really only beneficial if your engine is tuned and setup to run much hotter and you need more protection. Nascar engines run really high psi coolant pressures, ~45 psi iirc, to increase the boiling point of the water to keep from boiling over from drawing all the heat away from those engines.
Are you having issues with overheating? If its for racing purposes you might be better off just upgrading your radiator.

I ran it. it made the A/C not work so well from the elevated radiator temps. It doesnt cool better. It cools worse. But as stated you can run higher temps with the stuff since there is no water to boil. Its impossible to get water out of block with head on. Really should only be used if engine is out and you can get system completely dry before using it.
