E85 Too Old?
Well we tried starting it up last night and ran into a problem with the relay not wanting to kick on, which we believe is because of another issue with the AIT Sensor. Checked my gas can that's sitting in my garage that is still half full of E85 that has been sitting there since September and it looks fine. I agree that the octane may change overtime but the chances of it getting enough moisture to change composition in the gas tank is pretty slim. When pulled the fuel pump we shined a light inside the tank and tried to see how everything looked and it looks no different than a freshly filled tank. But ya, we definitely won't be doing any WOT pulls with this gas lol. It'll be long gone before we get to the WOT tuning. If for some reason I ruin an injector, fuel pump or clog my filter up because of my gas I'll definitely inform everyone of the hazards of running 6 month old E85 lol. So wish me luck!
