E85 cold start tips and tricks
I've got about 2k E85 miles under my belt. But recently the temps have been dropping and the car takes a few more cranks to pop off.
Does anyone have helpful hints for getting an E85 powered car to start on the first try during a below freezing start?

Based on the fact that you said you have 2k mi. on the car since you switched over to E85 and given the time of year, it seems possible that you are tuned for true 85% E85 and the stuff you're now getting at the pump in this season is actually 70% Ethanol/E70.
Are you still running a 85% Ethanol tune? Or are you experiencing this after already re-tuning to compensate for the reduced Ethanol content? I've heard cold temps make it a little harder to start on E85, but if you are still on the 85% tune, this probably contributes to it as well.

To implement you will need to upgrade to the 96530706 Tephra v7.0 ROM, or add XML for the IPW adder to your existing ROM.
There is only 15% gasoline in E85. Gasoline is what fires off your engine, so you need a bunch of E85 in order to have enough gasoline to fire off.

Jim.......With your suggestion I had my tuner add the tables to V5.1 & it has helped......It takes approx 2-3 (2) second stints to get it to fire....Does that sound OK for the mild temps here in So.Cal (Morning 48 degrees)???
Thanks, Joe (BTW, What about that Rain event =)
