hyperflow core found in turboxs intercooler looks like it has a more promising internal fin design that you may be interested in.

We use the Garrett core pictured on the left above. You can't beat our FMIC kits for the EVO. I'd dyno against any, you guys get them together, send witnesses and I'll do the dyno work here. Has to be fairly soon as the car is on the dyno for all this testing already.

At 20 psi of boost we have less than 1 psi of pressure drop across the core.

I keep on hearing and have seen a picture of how the intercooler is not spaced evenly. Can you confirm/dispel this rumor david? Thanks.

That's nit-picky... but something that would eat at me every time I looked at the car.

But the internal air is over twice the external air temp...so you want the 1/2 height internal fins moving the Heat to the full height outside fins in a 1 to 1 ratio...NOT like the hyperflow...same height for both directions = inside heat transfer is slowed by avalible outside fin area AND inside transit time is lessened by the "less restrictive core" a double whammy and another "great on the paper but reality has less heat transfer...again what's "intuitive" is completely BassAkwards

My RS is on the dyno, I will test any FMIC that anyone sends me that bolts onto the EVO. For free and post the dyno results. Send a witness if there is any doubt about my integrity.

The challenge is out there and I am willing to do the work, you guys just supply me with what you want me to test.
