2.4 Reliability
650 with FP Black fairly easy and 700 on kill
Agreed. Looks like out of the (5 4G64s ER has built this year) 2 4G64 are under 450-500hp and the other 3 are 625hp (John), 650+hp (me) and 750+hp (Aaron)... So far no problems and Aaron at ER strongly recommends the PE gasket.
OP: As for reliability, I think the Long Rod 2.4 is the best and all the parts are std off the self unlike the LR2.2s... They can rev safely to 8.5k and should hold up much longer than a 2.3 or std 2.4 respectfully. I will be setting the street rev limit between 8-8300. Sorry to hear about your motor build. I would look into a LR setup for better reliability.

so i should get that gasket the one dude comment that the ams gasket is holding strong and fine but dont get a cosmetic one. man just when i think i got all the 300+ dollar parts out the way i have to get one more another headgasket guess i have a OEM 4g63 for sale. im trying to be done spending money LOL.
Rock, the Headgasket is not something you want to try and save $100 on. I would get the PE and be worry free. I have seen the PE ran on a lot more combos than the AMS modded. I'm off to bed. Good night evom!

its the little stuff lol i hated buying the guages dude. 199.80(oilpress) 180(truboost) 165(innovateWb). Im just happy i got all the 1k+ stuff paid for and over with. How much was your LR2.4?

Not as a LR2.4... The 4G69 block is the same deck height as the 4G63, 6mm to short.
The extra 6mm deck height in the 4G64 is what allows us to make a LR2.4 by using a 156mm rod instead of a 150mm rod and using a piston with a CH of 1.13. Why would you not want to do the 4G64 LR2.4?
*The 4G69 is simply a 4G64 with 87mm bore and a deck height of a 4G63*
We talk a lot about the benefits of a LR2.4 vs. the std 2.4 in this thread. Start on post 32 https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...e-25-5psi.html
I will be making a dedicated LR thread when I make the thread with my LR2.4 results over the next few weeks.
