Thank you. The more evidence I get the better. The dumbass adjuster tried to tell me that they couldnt find any used parts or aftermarket body parts for an evo. Lets just say I asked to speak with a senior adjuster who wasnt full of ****. They say i have over $8500 worth of damage. I mean yeah sure if you buy everything from Mitsubishi and have the whole car repainted.

That's interesting, since Progressive is paying for quite a bit of stuff on my car right now. Facepalm on those springs and $6500 for a non-built block from Lancershop though.

Car is back from the shop almost 2 months later. Looks amazing!

Almost totaled out at just over 12k worth of repairs, but I was able to add value since I provided Progressive with a receipt for the motor. Looks like that ridiculously expensive stock motor wasn't that big of a waste.

Unfortunately the body shop ordered and installed an Evo 9 wide tank ETS Intercooler instead of the original Evo 8. Looks like **** and im in the process of trying to get them order the proper one and eat the cost. After all it was their mistake.

I have a fully ported Titek V1 O2 housing and a Walbro 255 awaiting install in addition to the Shepard Tranny sitting in the garage. Still need to get a hold of a set of 850cc injectors, AEM Uego, hi flow cat, FP waste gate, and a Hallman manual boost controller. Going to have a 23 psi tune on 93 at either MZM or Cobbs new facility here in Austin.

This summer I will be purchasing the following:

FP Black Ported
Aem Tru Boost
Kelford, or GSC cams
Supertech Valve springs and retainers
Buschur Ported and Jet Coated Manifold
Buschur Ported Intake Manifold
Tein Flex
Enkei NTO3+M 18x9.5 +27 Powder Coated Top Secret Gold
Tires uncertain
10mm spacers front, rolled in rear.
Power Slot Rotors front and rear
Hawk Pads
32 psi tune on 93

The goal is to maintain the stock block and ECU while breaking through 430 awhp on a Mustang Dyno. I am open to constructive criticism regarding the mods as I am attempting to maintain stock internals.

Pictures to come

I have a 2003 evo 8 getting a 9 motor now. What did you do about the rear O2 sensor? The plugs on my 8 & 9 harness are different.

Also the two extra yellow plugs and one blue plug under the dash are for the acd correct?

Thanks,

John

I purchased an Evo IX o2 sensor for $35 off someone on here. I have also heard that your can hard wire the VIII o2 pigtail to the IX harness and it works perfectly.

Yes the yellow plugs are for the ACD system. As well as the extra plugs near the intake at what would be the reservoir and pump. You can simply delete these at both ends or just hide them like Ive done.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your swap

Yea not much of a warranty, and honestly I dont think it would hold any water at any dealership since it has several aftermarket bolt-on's. Maybe with Lancershop but idk. Wasn't really the selling point. I had the money and didnt have the time or energy to build my old block with all that needed to be done and purchased. After all, the only reason I bought the car was because it APPEARED to be in good shape cosmetically and mechanically. I was also provided false documentation of mechanical inspections that were said to have been performed. All I was thinking was a perfect body and no shaft play on the stock turbo.

As far as Progressive is concerned, they actually stepped up and payed out alot to have the car fixed. It was a very stressful situation but I got to keep my car and have it repaired back to its original state before the accident. Basically every part on the front clip was replaced to brand new OEM crash catalog, excluding the radiator and intercooler. Car looks brand new and im very happy even though ive had such bad luck.

Cant wait to get that Shep Tranny out of my garage and under the hood
