Really ****ty part is that I have a newely built Shep Trans sitting in my garage. I just finished saving up enough to get a 23psi tune and then this happened. Guess i get to use that money for the deductable.

First and only accident ive been in in my 24 years of life. It was clearly my fault.
Sorry man Hate to see this

I know how I would feel if this happened to me. I have a sick feeling my stomach just reading this

then let the adjuster give you a quote let someone (best one) tear it down and build it with the aftermarket parts, or better fixit yourself and just let someone do the paint work. Hood and bumper are super easy if nothing major is bent/broken.

Darn that sucks bro! I was recently in a small accident but luckily it wasn't my fault. I used that as an excuse to get my SE front lip

I just read this whole thread and I really like what you've done with the car! Everything looks great. I may have built the motor but going with an OEM IX motor isn't a bad choice either. Especially if you were wanting to do the IX swap anyway.

Good luck with getting all the body work done though. Make sure it's a shop you really trust and has a good reputation with everyone in the area.

Or just get some estimates from a couple of shops, then tell the insurance agent that you want a check instead of them paying a shop because you have your own mechanic. Order the parts you want and then pay a shop with the leftover money (which should be plenty) to install it all..

Well the problem with that is, unless he has the title to the car insurance companies don't like to write checks to an individual. That way they can make sure the car actually does get fixed properly. If they were to repo the car and it was never fixed they wouldn't be able to get much for it. See what I mean?

BTW...like your whip is it an SSL?

That's a lot of money for a stock clutch and parts you don't need

Parts I didnt need? The head was scrap, it had a stock 8 turbo with 76k on it, and the block needed machine work. After calculating the internals and machine work, a good core head and head work, a new turbo setup, and a clutch. I would have been over $7500 easily.

That stock clutch will hold 400hp...and so will my "stock internals".

And I made bout $1500 in parts so u do the math.

Anyway back to the recent topic....

Im having it takin to Custom Car Crafters here in Austin. They are hands down the best body shop in town. They have been featured on Overhaulin as they did Lance Armstrong's GTO. Not that that matters though lol.

So I went by the yard to get my belongings and I had a chance to take a few more pictures and assess further.

No frame damage. Crash beam needs to be replaced. Front bumper obviously. Both headlight look ok but the tabs are broken off. Radiator pushed into the turbo. Turbo is ok but radiator is done. And finally that pretty new intercooler is bent like my dick.

Hell it needed a paint job anyway. $250 deductible and Im gonna have the whole car repainted and pay the difference.

So my insurance company has decided that since they are unable (unwhilling) to find parts to fix the car, that they are gonna try and total it out.

No frame damage.

Needs:
Evo 8 Hood
Evo 8 Crash Beam
Evo 8 Front Bumper
2 HID Headlights any style

Can anyone help me out. I need evidence to provide to my insurance company that I can find parts .

Come on guys....help me save my car!!!!

Your best bet is to get aftermarket hood and hid headlights.
hood: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0 - $920 stock evo hood

Evo 8 Stock Front Bumper: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0 - $232.50

Evo 8 Crash Bar : http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0 -$206.67

Evo 8 HID Headlight Assembly : http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0 -Right side $978.13 Left Side $822.61

Hope this helps man!

i think i have both crash beams laying around if you need the front. Someone backed into the front of my car a while back. My buddy's dad owns a body shop that fixed all of those parts plus more on my car, didnt have any problems with insurance or locating parts. Let me know if you wanna have him take care of your car
