They got it started by resetting the immobilizer code. I on my way to pick her up right now!

LOL, my mini battery dies all the time if I leave the car sitting for too many days at a time.

Wish I had read this thread earlier. You could have disabled the immobilizer and saved yourself the trip to the dealer.

Ummm...no need to get an attitude.

You didn't disable the immobilizer. Setting it to 0xFFFF doesn't disable the immobilizer. It's a periphery bit setting, but whatever man.

Trying to help and you get an attitude. Let me correct my post...glad I didn't get to this thread in time. Thanks for reminding me why I never come to this subforum and stay in the ECUFlash section.

I'm glad you think you know what I didnt do. But again, I changed the periphery bit setting and used both my original code and FFFF.

EcuFlash can and does sometimes corrupt the immobilizer if the ECU has previously been flashed by another program.

I had the dealership program a new code and an OE ROM file. Best $89 dollars ive ever spent. They even charged my mini battery lol for free lol.

If you truly disabled the immobilzer correctly it wouldn't matter what code you used for it...if it let you type in 4 banana symbols it would still work. It doesn't matter if it's 'corrupt' or not, if it's truly disabled.

But, anyway, at least you now have a working immobilizer, so you can use it for security reasons. Good luck with the car and the new motor.
