Thanks Guys! Jake just left and we were unable to get her started. In addition to no spark, im also not getting fuel into the cylinders. We tried his ECU but still no worky. We narrowed it down to the harness. Since I got it off Ebay I think my bad luck has struck again!!!

Sucks leaving without the car running, I hate that. Has to be the harness, we basically did a cavity search on the engine and wiring. But yea, let's compare my working harness and get this thing figured out. That bad luck will run out soon enough.

Have you guys disabled the immobilizer in the new EVO 9 ECU?

Just a thought and saw no mention of it.

The springs are longer (I think) on the MR clutch disc, which translates to smoother engagement IIRC.

First off Thank You for your service to our country!
If you ever need any info or techincal help please feel free to ask me.

Second, I agree! I researched the 8.5 swap for a month before I decided to buy the motor. Very few write ups but found out enough info and used common sense for the rest. I will continue to update far after its running. I really looking forward to my first tune at 23psi after I break her in. My goal is to break 400hp with the stock turbo, motor, head, and cams by just upgrading the fuel system. We shall see....

If it's not the harness I would suspect a faulty cam or crank sensor. If either of those go bad the ECU has nothing to base the timing of fuel or spark to so the injectors and plugs never fire.

I have considered this too but these are brand new sensors so it next to impossible. But then again nothing is impossible
