Yes. I am very curious what the hell happened,too....

As of right now, I have priced out http://www.amsperformance.com/cart/A...mance.com.html

This seems to have what I need less the head stuff.
OEM valves are $467.95 (16)
Supertechs etc.

You're going to need valve guides, as well as valve stem seals too, its likely all of the guides tweaked when it bent the valves

Yeah, I know that

As of right now, I will pull off the head and take a damage estimate. Valves guides, springs, seals, etc.......

But at least after its all said and done,I will have a fully built motor for my needs. (until a belt snaps,LOL)

I'm not saying that it is likely but people have snapped belts and needed nothing more than a new belt. So, rather than yanking everything apart, I'd suggest starting with a few simple tests.

Put the engine back in time and see if it can be turned over by hand. Pull the plugs and check for damage. Look under the valve cover for popped rockers. If the engine turns freely, check compression. You could have lucked out.

That might happen if he skipped a few cam teeth, but a belt snapping means instant carnage.

ouch. maybe I missed it, but was this on a new tensioner with the belt change? What about timing belt pulleys?

New tensioner and pulleys.

Anyway, Update:

I have started ripping her down. #3 spark plug will not come out.
Used a borescope...... Bent valves like I thought.
Didn't take off the front cover yet.

Now debating to drop the entire assembly, suspension and all or just pull the engine out, or trans first.

What would you guys do?? I have it on a lift already.

IF you have a lift then just unbolt it all and lift the car up dropping it from the bottom. It is the easiest way to do it. If not, then crane it up the top with the transmission bolted to it.

Sorry to hear about your luck.

These timing belts don't just snap. It takes a lot of force to break the belt. When they fail, usually the teeth on the belt shear off.

You're going to have to recall how the belt was done. Setting the tensioners on the 4G63 is tricky, and if the belt got loose and somehow got caught, that can rip it.
