Blown headgasket or something else?

So pretty sure I blew the headgasket a week after the car was finished. Everything seemed fine, I got on the highway, floored it, hit about 5 to 6k and PPSSHH water all over windshield. Just looking for other possibilities...

Either head lifted badly.. or a water hose burst from pressure due to lifted head.. If you cant find the source of the water spray its probably from the head.. Sorry to hear of the trouble.. Let me know if i can help at all..

Thanks mike. Are you going to be in the shop Monday? I'll give you a call if you are.

Sounds like a hose came off. Chase the coolant hoses. Could have been the heater core or TB coolant lines.

Check your oil to see if it looks like chocolate milk.

Do a compression test.

This... seems to be an outbreak of freeze plugs lately... yesterday the one on the driver's side end popped out on mine, sprayed a little bit of coolant on the windshiled as well. It's hard to see cause it's kinda hiding under the thermostat... if you can't find any hoses off get a flashlight and start checking these

whats the reason the freeze plug blew though, you may still have a lifted head.
