No 6th gear after clutch install?

Hey guys.

I just installed a new exedy twin disc hd and took it for the first drive. My impressions and problems:

1. the shifter is very sluggish and sometimes i cant tell if its in gear or not when shifting
2. lots of chatter noise when clutch pedal is pushed in (i have played with the clutch adjustment tool)
3. No 6th gear. I have tried and tried but Im locked out. I have reverse but no 6th? I have checked to see the shift linkage and there is no binding or anthing in the way. Even while the car is off it still wont go. MY car has 41k and 6th worked fine before I swapped the clutch.

Ive found these threads as well

Any help would be great

When you took the tranny out did you unscrew the shift linkage from the Transmission? make sure it didn't pop out..

i did unscrew the shifter mechanism off the trans when i reinstalled it. I reinstalled it right back as well so i dont think that would do it.

double check that make sure its seated correctly. Also did you bleed your clutch? Did you get all the air out? And all cables are hoocked back up?

i never unplugged the slave so theres no need to rebleed that. i rebled the acd system and have no codes. i double checked as well with the cables and they're in tight with nothing in the way.

i will take off the shift mechanism in the morning and reinstall it to see if that does the trick. thanks.

I only wish I did. Im going to buy the bushing kit for the shifter cables and box and see if that helps as well with the sloppy shifter. Im still confuse with being locked out of 6th though. Im 100% sure i installed the clutch right as well. Its as if 6th isnt even there, no grind or anything, its completely locked out.

Yes it is. Now, more issues...

The ACD has thrown a code. Sounds like I didnt do it right. After reading and searching, I found that I may have not bled or filled it correctly. Now, I just found that the ACD has its own system in the TC. I thought before that it was the same but its different.

My question is where is the reservoir for the acd? and just making sure, im using ATF for it right?

Thanks and I still dont have 6th.

Wow your making me nervous to do my own clutch job. It just wouldnt seem sensible for the 6th gear to be completely locked out due to lack of bleeding something, but then again ive never done it. Good luck if, i come across any info il try to shoot a reply

I know you said that your clutch before engaged into 6th normally, but one of the links to another thread that you gave suggests that its the syncros. Have you considered that? just because it worked before the recent clutch install doesnt mean your 6th gear syncro isnt toasted.
