That may be true, but you're still going to have to find enough average power to do it. That means you should be looking at greater displacement to get enough power at those low revs, and removing as much weight from the chassis to get to the required power/weight ratio.

Either is going to handle whatever you can throw at them, but the Crowers weight 11-12% less.

Manley make a light weight straight beam as well I think they are 50g lighter than the tapered beam.

Are you're referring to the inexpensive H-beam rod, which is made in China and rebranded? If so, that isn't something that shouldn't realistically be considered in this application.

300m is a steel alloy.

According to Manley's catalog, the 300m rod weighs in at 685g, while the TT is listed as ~700g.

For this type of application a better Al rod is a viable option - better IMO than slinging a very heavy steel rod around on that long stroke crank.

Crower Billet's are probably one of the best rods out there for our cars. I'd worry about drivetrain components more.

The Manley rods are DEFINITELY much nicer than the Crower rods. I'm running Manley's now. Their tolerances were held beautifully and they are a much tougher rod than the Crowers.

we've run both... Manley turbo tuff seem to be better for us at least.

and if you're going crazy... just upgrade the rod bolts to +625 aged ones. One thing to watch for that everyone seems to neglect is the piston wrist pin. Most off the shelf pistons use pins that are rated up to about 700hp. They are very thin wall'd even compared to stock beefy wrist pins. Minus the alloy. U can easily upgrade these on most brands as well.
