Question Filter question?

Ok is there really that much of a difference between the Air filters like RMR,HKS,ect.... compared to the stock air box with a K&N since the stock setup is really more of a ram air system.......

can anyone give me more details with FACTS to back up your opinions....
TIA

but my thing is that the stock box is RAM AIR..... the Buschur set up is an add on and you remove the box..... I would like to know what kind of CFM flow you either lose with having the box or gain with the box and the same for the After market filter...
thanks

Just my opinion but when I added my filter it felt like i lost power, didnt pull as hard, just my impression no real facts to prove it...

When I installed the stock back on it felt much better... Maybe the car needs suction and the nice colder air raming into the filter??

you will add cfm by removing the box, jsut becasue it's ram air doesn't mean it flows more, stock filter elements are very restrictive. Open element may flow more but it will pull slightly warmer air as well...

i don't tihnk the filter which show much affect on low end torque, it will only allow for more airflow and airflow is set by the engine/turbo's demand.
