LOL! Im Too indecisive on building my own "cheap 2.4" at home for practice. since prices are low. but then again it may not be worth it. Either way, the oem crank is fine. you won't find me paying 1400 for a crank. sorry. whoever spends 1500 on a crank, more power to u
wtf are you talking about. Was pushing your crank to Nick to sell since you did not need it and he needs one bad. have no ideal where that came from. btw any built motor is not cheap so i dont know where you got that from unless you using all overseas parts and your putting it together to save money.

Sure you can do a cheap 2.4 Build... Stock 4G64 block for stock turbo you can just do drop in pistons and rods and never take the motor apart... That would be only be 1k or less if you can do all the other work yourself.

Haha i dont know how this thread went from asking for info/experience with any of the cranks to me automatically wanting the 1400 crank. lol.

It was just mentioned to me that since i need a new one to possibly look into an eagle since it was close (1-200 from stock). So i was just looking at options, and seeing what was out there.

I wouldnt spend money on the manley for a street 2.4, but I would spend it on the Eagle. We have tested them to over 700whp and 8k, not bad for the money. Even spent multiple seasons launching on it without issues, it has nothing I would worry about. Prep is the only key and most of the "oiling issues" are related to prep.

lost an engine due to machine shop not cleaning out the crank well enough. they should be able to do it i agree but would I risk it again...no F'n way. Im so paranoid of debris now I ran a rifle brush through every passage of the blocl and new crank when it got torn down last time.

:side note. I put a can of brake clean through that crank along with compressed air and 500 miles later she was done. Withought removing those ***** that are pressed in you can't guarantee nothing is trapped in there
