Hotside Mating

Hotside Mating

I was putting back on the hotside onto the turbo (which is still on the car) it slides in and I have everything lined up. However, I'm wondering how far in it needs to slide in. I've already hammered and tapped it as far as it will go and the v-band clamp fits fine on it. Just not sure if the two mating surfaces between the hotside and coldside of the turbo should not have a gap at all. Right now I would say there's like a 2-3mm gap.

Well im looking at my brand new 6262 in the box and there is no gap at all. It should defenitly seal.

the 6262 and 16g are different turbos so you cant compare the, but the clamp should mate the both sides together, i am not sure where the gap would be..post some pics so we can see what you are talking about
