E85 is simple its basically high octane fuel for a low octane price. Requires you have upgraded fuel components to fuel like big injectors and a bigger pump.

Downside is it uses more fuel so you basically end up paying as much per mile as premium fuel but the upside is you get 100+ octane performance so thats a win win in my book.

If you have the option for E85, do it. I wish we had E85 in NJ, but we dont, so Im forced to run meth lol.

I know about that place. My car is my daily driver though and I cant be running to east orange whenever I need gas. We need E85 all over the state, not just 1 spot.

maybe its just me but if your already at the limits of the stock block you cant gain anymore power without building it soooooooo using either meth or e85 is not going to help just push you over the edge to the point where your motor is on borrowed time.

running e85 or meth while keeping power constant will result in a safer tune. OP does not need a built block to reap the benefits of e85 or meth

I say go for e85 and run 2 maps one for regular 91 or 93oct (Whatever you have) and then another that runs e85. Thats what Ill be doing, buschur even does a nice little switch to switch back and forth on the fly.

Thats what I would do if I were you also Sven, that way you can have a high boost map that you can DD when you happen to have e85 in the tank.

Ya Im still considering doing a second map with the switch. I think I wanna wait it off for a while till next spring and have fun with the car how itll be now. Im doing 93+meth now and then next spring I want to either get a second map tune for either E85 or Q16. Id be interested to see exactly the difference in power between 93+meth and E85 back to back though, but my injectors arent big enough right now (1200cc). After seeing Mikeys numbers, really makes me hate not having E85 readily available here haha.

Im a little worried about pushing everything too hard because the Evo is my daily.

Cant really compare 93oct to E85, if I recall correctly Mike @ AWD said he makes more power on e85 then race gas.

Im doing a duel map because I have e85 out here no problem but since I travel back and forth to the East coast where my family is and they don't have e85 having the 2 maps was just a wise choice so I can DD e85 with no fear when it comes to a long trip away from home.

93+meth you missed that part I wanna see my car on the dyno with E85 then switch over to 93+meth and see the differences.
