so i put an invidia exhaust mani on the other day an now im losing boost, all the bolt are torqued down to proper specs, i also checked all my intercooler piping an intake piping , everything is good, so the only thing i can think of is its gotta be something to do with the exhaust mani, any input?

Um the mani could be cracked but thats an exhaust leak. do a boost leak test son! could be anywhere do you have upgraded throttle body shaft seal? maybe you popped a vacume line off somwheres? maybe missed tightening a clamp down by the intercooler. a real boost leak test will tell you.

 

yeah im gonna have to look into the boost leak teast, an its deffently not an exhaust mani leak, i checked that already, but no upgraded TB shaft seal, an all the vac lines are good, checked em a few times, ill do the boost leak test in the AM

 

more than likely if you had a cracked exhaust mani that was causing you to loose boost you would deffinately hear it, sort of tractor sounding...but do the boost leak test first and then go from there.

 

hahaha yeah no sort of tractor sounds as im going down the road, but im deffently gonna check everything again to make sure an then do the boost leak test
