Called shep yesterday. I was told that there was no set pricing. Gears are in fact in the works, but still in r&D. Was told possibly around or after fall. Thats all I was told.

Thank you for your efforts. However what I have been posting since the first post... has all been information directly from John Shepherd. The information he is willing to give you, and the information he gives someone that he has been speaking with about a 6 speed build for 3 years on, may be a little different.

Of course there have not been any set prices. I shared the ballpark figures that Shep shared with me because people would not stop wondering. (I don't blame them... I've been wondering for quite a while)

Anything more, you'd have to wait. I can go into "why" there is no set pricing, but its unnecessary information.

Any information of use to the public about this transmission build/set/project/being finished/etc... will DEFINITELY be posted as soon as information is available. It'll probably be posted before he gets to even put it up on his website. You can count on that.

hi, after reading the pricing info, I am still interested in the gearset. I shall be receiving my spare two 6 speed boxes next week, and hopefully fix my broken driveline soon. I shall also take this opportunity to prepare a cooler package for the tranny, regardless of the shep upgrade..

Will keep you up to date..

best regards

vlado

The only way I am coming off the list is if:

- It will cost more than 5k for a ready-to-go 6speed

or

- I total out my Evo

I'm extremely interested depending on when this becomes available and the pricing/options. If the only gears that are being upgraded with the new gear set are 3rd-6th then I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars a gear for the 1st & 2nd gears I already have which are in perfect condition.

I far prefer the gearing for the 6 spd as my car is built for road racing not drag racing, but the reliability and price would have to make sense. I am at 400 whp on low boost now, and may upgrade to a BBK-B when CBRD releases it, so the OEM 6 spd is probably going to shred itself. Subscribed!

Sigh.... updating my previous post. OEM 6 spd has shredded itself. To upgrade to a ShepTrans 5 spd or wait for the upgrade for the 6 spd is the question...

How bad do you need the car? That should make it relatively simple.

This is awesome. I would love to do a swap to a 6 speed but always held back due to non-availability of a built version. Subscribed.

Bump!

Interest is still flowing... and the wait time is shrinking

I will have a spare 6 speed if anyone is interested in a swap and wants a case for building for cheap. PM me if interested to exchange contact info. Don't clutter thread!

I'm interested, but only depending on how much Torque it can take. I plan on going with a bigger turbo, and putting down in the 6-700whp range. Subscribed.
