Stalling problem.. Please help!!

Hey guys, my buddy has this weird problem with his evo 8 and I can't figure out what it is neither can he. The car starts up perfect, idles perfect, and revs perfect, two-step, etc... But is not driveable. When you go to drive the car or rev it up and feather the clutch out to drive.. around 2,000 rpms and the wheels start to move, the car back fires, miss fires, and stalls out. The car has 50k on it with some bolt ons. Any ideas on where to start looking? Or what is the problem? Thanks.

Does it have cams? You gotta warm up the car if it has cams or else it will stall. Did you also check all the vac lines, ic pipes, and even the bov?

What has changed on the car since it last started and drove correctly? Was this problem starting up after any mods were installed or did it just happen all of a sudden?

I would log it if you can. Check the basics; plugs, leaks, Maf, CAS, Crank sensor.
