Need help with clutch fork with fresh install
Ok long story short installed a exedy triple disk and after everything was in I went to bleed my slave cylinder and when I was pumping the clutch it and it went to the floor and stayed there.. well we noticed that the clutch fork is all the way toward the passenger side and barley moves if u pull it to the drivers side I'm kinda having trouble describing it so if need to ask questions and will answer at my best also if the slave cylinder pushes to release the clutch what pulls it back to engage it?
bump for more info. As for the last question on your paragraph what engages the clutch? When your foot presses the clutch in the fork pulls the pressure plate away from the flywheel via the TOB. The diaphgram on the pressure plate is pulled outward(causing the pressure plate to be seperated) Once you release the clutch pedal the same pressure exerted on the pressure plate diaphragm returns the pressure plate/ clutch pedal back to its original starting position.
The pressure plate is a big a s s spring that squeezes the disks. You were right engaged is when the pedal is out. Sounds like the "TOB" Throw Out Bearing is not engaged. Open the bleeder on the slave cylinder and pull the fork as far as you can toward it. You should feel it lock in and you're good to go.
