Opinions on the best OEM intercooler replacement

Hey guys, what intercoolers do you like that have the least modification to the car? I was looking at the Spearco kit that seems to be a direct replacement without needing a smaller battery or intake.

I run Time Trials and need to stay in the class I run, so I don't want to have to take additional points in classification by adding additional parts.

Thanks

CBRD, JMFab, Perrin, ETS... There all good and don't require much if any modification to install IIRC.

I like my ETS 3.5", but my old Buschur was amazingly light.
Cbrd And AMS get my nod too for a non mod intercooler.

All those intercooler mentioned utilize the stock mounting points for installation.

I have had the turbo xs intercooler and it worked great just had to get another 1 because it got cracked on a pot hole. I have the ams 1 now and I love it.

I previously owned a Buschur and it seemed to hang a little lower than the others. I don't know if that was a design of an older version (this was in 2006) or if somehow I got it wrong (even though I did use all the stock mounting points).

I think the ETS 4" might even work like stock, but I'm not positive. the 3.5" does, and as someone else mentioned, you can't go wrong with a Garrett core (sold by a lot of vendors).

Yeah, I think the CBRD IC uses a Garrett core as well. I had a little off-track adventure this weekend and bent a few things underneath, so lower hanging wouldn't be good either. The ams IC looks nice.

ETS intercooler, and you will be set. 3 or 3.5" requires no modification. Above that you lose your crash beam. The intercooler uses the stock mounting points. Price is great.

AMS,AGP,APS are similar to each other. Looks like the APS will fit with the least modification then the AMS, then AGP. AGP, from what I read requires you to modify the undertray.
