We are the only company that I know of selling a 3" SS 02 Elim Downpipe for the EVO 8. We have been selling 5 times as many 02 elim as standard downpipe. They have become very popular ever since people have tried them out and realized the spool up difference and better power band.

Let me know if you have any questions on it. The retail price for the full SS one is $430, but it's on sale right now for $395.

I know your question was about a DP w/o2 sim. However, I got the Perrin 3" cut-out w/o2 sim, and it works great! No SES! I got it on-line at Lancershop.com $180.00 Another option??

The stock 02 housing really is a kick *** piece. When we built our lightweight 3" exhausts for the EVO we seriously looked into building an 02 housing. After looking at the stock 02 housing and how well it was designed we decided that it would be a waste of time.

Looking back now I have to still stand behind our decision. Our EVO has made 380 whp and 349 ft lbs at 21 psi of boost with the stock turbo, manifold, 02 housing, head and short block. It has also ran 11.65 at 117.88 mph like this.

I would suggest checking out our high flow 3" lightweight exhaust for you car. Leave the stock 02 housing alone for now.

this is true! when i was going to install my 3" turboback, i was going to take off the o2 housing and port it out like previous 1G's and 2g's had done. to my surprise, the o2 housing was a great design! Very large and nothing even remotely close to the older talons/eclipses. left it alone and just installed the 3"turboback.

AMS feels the same way.. They made a new O2 housing for the stock turbo setup but saw very little gains from it.. The cost was not worth the headache..

Just looking inside the stock EVO8 O2 housing you'll be surprised! They've really made some huge steps since the 1G and 2G DSMS.. it's even better than any other EVO O2 housing!!

Hold out for a couple more days and just take a look at the downpipe that AMS just finished (going through the thorough testing process they always do before selling it to the public).. IT'S GORGEOUS!!!

Actually I would really have to disagree with that. The stock 02 housing is 2.45" and a heavy cast piece.

Our 3" 02 elim is a bell mouth design with a full 3" SS tubular unit. We have seen pretty good gains with the unit. Anytime you go from a 2.45" 02 housing to a true 3" unit you will see some very noticeable gains.

If you are looking to get the most out of the stock turbo then this is the way to go. If will give you that extra edge over the guy with the regular 3" turbo back.

Buschur, you guys did real well with the stock turbo, but I do believe it would have done even better with a 3" SS 02 elim.

We have seen on test cars that the turbo spools about 200-300rpm sooner with the 3" 02 elim. We have also seen around 8-10whp gain accross the entire power band. There are defintie performance advantages to the 02 elim that we build. You can check it out at www.rnrracing.com

Let me know if you have any more questions on it.

the reason y i need the 3inch elim pipe is not cause of the gains its because the threading where the bolts for the down pipe go are stripped.......so im basically screwed...thats y
