They can be impressive but thruth is 99% of people will NOT run more than 93 octane.
I have to somewhat agree. I still maintain that I want a rush hour drivable 400+whp-pump gas drinking street machine. Lofty goals, maybe so, but by no means impossible. Hell, even the race fuel sniffing' Al asked for pump gas numbers (ok, bad joke Al)

ok, you're part of the 1% that uses other fuels rather than 93 octane

It really doesn't matter what you think. With the correct size turbo lets use the BR500 (dsm application) for example. has made 400 hp on many cars on pump gas at 20-21 psi. 400HP and 400whp are two very different things. Dave's points as always are 100% accurate. 400whp is also very common at around 24 psi also on pump gas.

This is something that I've been pondering.. Its just funny that we bought turbo cars because they have turbos, and now we're considering putting another different turbo on it...

Anyway, I too am inclined to go with the Buschur Racing kit.. I've had experiences with stainless headers in Normally aspirated cars.. They warp, leak, crack, etc.. I also can understand a failure due to stress fractures of supporting the weight of the turbo and to some extent the exhaust system, or the movement of the engine and a solid downpipe. You honestly can't beat a tubular exhaust manifold for power, combine that with a thermal coating and you have an amazing combination... But this car is my daily driver, so compromises and durability are my primary concern.

Funny though, the power levels we're talking about here (in WHP) means that the crank HP levels are approaching the power my RACE CAR makes.. and that just blows my mind.

thats being conservative SFP.net was able to get my car to 419hp to the wheels!! on 93 octane on 21 pounds of boost...I am running a 3037s HKS kit....and Im sure there are much better alternatives... Id check out SFP.net upgrades and packages...and they even give an unconditional guarantee against failure as long as you use a flexible section in your dp.....pretty good...

With a well constructed tubular manifold with ceramic coating. will be fine for a daily driven car. This manifold is also available for an EVO application. The ceramic coating was done later.

Yes, the manifold is cut into 4 pieces. This is one of the techniques we use so our manifodls don't crack like other companies.

It's called expansion slots.

The final product will be jet hot coated. We didn't have time to wait on it so we just installed it.

The turbo feels real real good. We are running 22 psi and it feels extremely fast.

Guaranteed not to leak. It is on our car now without any problems at all.

The turbo feels real good. I suspect it's putting out about 500whp right now, but we will see this week for sure.
