You 'could' use the MBC to do this but you are preloading the crap out of your turbo and you have your MBC all turned up and there is no increase in boost...... are you using the Tomei Arms? Is this a stocker? What's up?

 

I have a built 2.3L with a 9.0:1 Compression. JE Pistons, I Beam Turbo Tuffs, etc etc.
I want to say the WGA was preloaded to what everyone recommends, maybe a little bit more (The rod will need to be pulled over the pin so that 1/4" of the hole on the rod is covered. 3/4" of the rod should be empty). So the WGa spring is 23 psi, and the car is boosting 25psi with just the WGA. Once I add the Boost Controller, turned all the way (high boost), I only get an increase of 3-4psi max.
I keep scratching my head, but I think it might be the spring on the boost controller is no longer holding, so either change the boost controller or change the spring.

Also, hypotetically speaking, if I was to preload the wga more than the "recommended" what could happen? can the flapper be bent? damaged?
