Converting T-Case to FWD
#17
In theory might also be able to pull a tranny from a fwd Outty not just a RA, unless the tranny is different but I thought they were the same. 03's used 4G63s and the other first gens used 4G69s so it gives you a couple more options.

Old thread back from the dead!
So from my research what I've gathered is you lock the center diff via welding it, and you cap off the output on the Transfer case, either by fabbing a block-off plate, or welding it shut completely. Am I correct?
Can you just put an a limited slip center diff instead of welding it?
My assumption of the locked center diff is that I am led to believe that it's not as easy as blocking the output shaft on the t-case and rolling fwd as you would burn up the viscous coupler (center diff). Is that correct?
