GTII 7460R vs BBK Full photo shoot
Sorry man, I did not mean to come across like that....I think the BBK is a HUGE improvement over stock 9 turbo....And you did a great job showing the BBK potential. That said, it appears the HKS is the same size / flows about the same and is ball bearing....Hard to beat...
Everyone gets so defensive about setups / etc. Bottomline is there are a ton of great options in the stock frame turbos now. For me, I am happy with what I have now and would not invest the added dollars to convert my turbo to ball bearing. Do I wish the HTA Green was ball bearing ? - absolutely. Will it matter for me / my setup - probably not.

1) BBK Full + FiD
2) GTII + FiD
3) GTII + ToxicFab
I have no preconceived notion of which manifold will perform better.

Nice...I should hopefully be testing out my toxicfab manifold on my bbk full this week...care to PM me with that preconceived notion of which will perform better?

The limited data on the HKS does seem promising so far. I sold one to a customer whose car I will tune when it is installed so I will have further data and a direct comparison between IX/RED/HKS GTII on the same car, ceteris paribus (besides weather).

I have dyno charts... all from my car.
versus an FP Red on c16
versus IX turbo on pump
versus IX turbo on 110L
versus FP E85 Green turbo
and I overlayed against Jeremy's BBK turbo (which we'll have to see if we can get a copy of that dyno)
I posted my results and the data log as well as a bunch of info. dyno sheets coming soon

Had to do a lot of fishing to find your data, but I got it. I'll be interested to see the new dyno results now that your WG preload is set, but I sure won't find them if I have to dig through that thread again! lol
basically... the HKS turbo killed the stock 9 in every way possible. HKS turbo made the FP Green look just as bad. The hks was faaaar more responsive compared to the red and made 37 less horsepower peak. (42psi on the red on c16)
The BBK overlay that Jeremy and I did was the best comparison. Both turbo's @ 30+ psi. Both on E85, s2's and FP4rs, he had a ported exhaust manifold and I had a magnus...
The dyno graphs literally overlayed on top of each other except the HKS turbo came to life much sooner than the BBK.... it was REALLY evident with the boost plot.

BBKB results on my car and HKS results on a customer's IX coming soon....

Hey, when I was looking over your BBK today, I realized that the WGA basically had no preload on it. I could open the WG flapper slightly by pushing on it from inside the turbo. When it was on your car, I think you might have been giving up a bit of power because of that. Needless-to-say, I tightened that puppy up a few turns. :-)
It's still to this date my favorite stock frame turbo for the 8/9. Nothing else is truly stock appearing and can perform at this level. Sure the FP and HKS turbos are close, but a trained eye will always notice
