R/T how high can the motor spin with these cams. I was shifting at 8-8500 with my Kelfords. The current tuner has me back at 7500ish (I've hit the redline a few times).

I'm going to let this reputable shop finish my tune and post results but I will be having the guy who tuned me on my BBK take a look and see if he can do better (Something tells me he will get me better results). I'm technically on the hook for the 1st tune so I might as well finish. Who knows maybe the car will actually feel fast.....because right now it feels DOG S-L-O-W

Waiting for the shop that my car is at to finish moving. They may take it back to get re-tuned before the end of the week (tuner is out of town next week).

(IM)Patiently waiting.......

Its scheides' BBK. Hotside is fully ported on both intake and outlet. Comp cover is also ported deep. (The HKS should have a similar porting job.) The turbo came with a WGA that looked identical to stock but was silver. I compared the spring strength between it and my factory one (just pulled on the actuator arm), and the factory one felt noticably stiffer, so I went with that one. What's the spring rate of yours?

...
They are close enough to S2s that max rpm is going to be more a function of springs and retainers.

You need DSM oem or after market retainer. Go with the Manley retainers. HKS valve springs were designed based on DSM retainer.

Here is a couple pictures of my HKS turbo side by side with the Tomei from the shop I go to. The HKS is tiny!

wow. looks like the compressor outlet has major room for porting. I'll have to consider that when mine arrives.

any updates MRfred?

Freds fixing some things on his car first - also not much porting available as you think because its a cast piece, if you over port it cracks.

Had some family issues today (sick daughter) that are requiring me to put off the turbo comparison to next week. Will try to do the manifold comparison on 11/2 though.
