I would say our 50 trim would eb a very very good turbo set up. It will support 450whp and spool just the same as stock.

It would great on the road course. It would spool fast and provide plenty of power.

GT30R would be pretty similar in overall power to the 50 trim except the GT30R likes to operate at higher psi ranges where the 50 trim would fall off a little.

Has anyone actually found what is possible on 93 octane pump gas? I have read so much information that says one number and then someone else will say something else altogather and they will both be reputable sources. Has anyone actually installed a kit on an Evo and found out deffinatly? I have seen all sorts of hypothetical number guess', I want some quantitative date like a dyno graph. When will some of these kits be installed and actually tested?
I am not trying to be rude or anything, but talk is cheap. I think that several others would like to see the actual numbers as well.

I can appreciate and understand your frustration.
We will have concrete dyno numbers for all right after new years. Actually that first week i will post all that info for you on our specific setup.

I don't know what you mean by falling off at high psi. You can push 30 psi with the 50 trim. How much can you run on the 30r?? Andre just set the pump gas hp record again with 503awhp out of his 99 gsx with a 50 trim. New technology is nice but if it aint broke, don't fix it!

No, he means that it falls off the effciency Island, and it does....with every single turbo in existence, there are people pushing it past its normally qouted limits....especially people with standalones and alot of money....

I believe Dre was running 26 PSI as well.

as a note the gt30 should be able to push 525-550ish whp at it's limit and offers beter spool than the 50 trim.

ofcourse at a price difference.

The gt30 compressor wheel is much more suited for high rpm flow when compaired to the 50 trim 04e wheel.

Not to take anything away for the t04e 50. It does map well up to 20psi on a 2.0 spining less than 8500rpm. After that the gt30 is the clear winner as for a temperature and flow goes.

So a GT35R is too big for a daily driven Evo?
Say I want to dragrace, and roadrace once in a while (using race gas) and drive it on the streets in the meantime, is it too big for that?

Its a turbo for what we call a street/strip warrior...its ok for daily driving, but if you plan on doing racing involving turns, its better to step down a notch.

Thank for the info ItsStockOfficer

I'd like to have a GT35R race set up. Have you driven in a car that has had one of these before? I'm pretty sure that is the turbo I'd like to go with. Are my stock internals going to hold on low boost? Also how much will cams help out?

Yeah, probably about 3 of them....Its Ok....The cars make just insane power on race gas, on pump, they don't outpower the GT30R by too much, maybe 20-40 hp, while on race gas they seem to make up to 100 hp more. They just like high boost levels.

Cams always help out. Generally they add 2-4 MPH in the qaurter on an otherwise well modded car.

Sorry for all the questions and I really appreciate the help. What do you think of the sheet metal intakes from magnus and others? How much does that all help when doing a turbo upgrade?

a mod (any mod) only helps when the factory part becomes a restriction.

IMHO when you get to the 375ish+ level start looking at intake manifolds.

intake manifolds should be matched to camshafts, and turbine a/r's.
