well im not pushing the limits of the stock block the evo9 comes wit 380hp in UK and Japan so 440whp doesnt seem to push the limits to far

i plan on doing drop in pistons and rods and a exedy hd twin disc in the summer when the cashflow is right

Hp isn't the killer, it's torque. You should usually start getting worried when you're around 450wtq. Some people are lucky, others... not so much.

I would not do dropins on a car with more than 20k on it most. Do it right and get the proper machine work done

Why not do drop drop in pistons if the clearances are within tolerances?

Exactly ..The motor starts to bring in at 20k..Drop in pistons is fine.As far as the block block with the amount of power your pushing it would run for a long time as long as you change the oil use good gas.

Does anyone have any info on the 4B11T factory internals? I have a '08 GSR that I'm wanting to make 450whp in. I've seen a few video's on youtube and read a few passages here with guys making 500whp with no issues. My Evo is my DD but I also do SCCA and Road Course races off and on during the season. So does anyone know a rough figure of it's limits?
