Like the 4 smart asses last year at the Econolodge sayin "HA look at the focus that says Buschur on it" Thats when I stopped and said hey smart guy I work there, and their face kinda just got blank and they turned around. Anyways I jsut don't see why the majority of the guys and like ****** when they come into town to EVERYONE! I find it rather amusing to cruise through parking lots and see the tranny's out of the cars that were rippin *** through town the night before yelling stuff out the window. I don't wish bad stuff on anyone but they get what they deserve. But my point is everyone is around to have fun and BS. But my experience with all of our EVO customers is their attitudes are ALOT! different than those of the DSM guys. I am looking forward to meeting all of you guys and BS'ing with you. I hope to see you all in August! Who's up for the boobie bar? Be safe guys!

I certainly hope this was not directed at my tranny in the Econolodge comment but if it is I'm afraid you are gravely mistaken. If I were to venture a guess I would say 95% if not more of the DSMers that make the voyage to the shootout each year are among the nicest people you ever will meet. In particular, our group of guys from New England would literally bend over backwards to help another car enthusiast out. Check it out sometime, or next time you make it over to the Econolodge, then go and pass judgement instead of basing this on a couple of ricer wannabe's who have nothing better to do than make silly little comments about others.

This is really dissapointing to read, this is jut about behind the dsm'ers backs that your trash talking them. Maybe you're referring to me as I broke my output shaft on my tcase that Friday night. I stayed at the econolodge as well. When Buschur pulled in, in the silver WRX, I didn't say anything rude at all (he asked if there were any fast cars there, and I sight there might be 1 or 2). I've gone to this the past 3 years and have met many great people. Most dsm's keep their driving under control as they know they're being watched. It really sounds like you're bitter that somebody made fun of your Focus, for that, you need to get over it. Seeing trash talking posts on non-dsm boards, against dsmers doesn't do much motivation for me to buy anything from Buschur. I've met a lot of great people at this event, but if this is what we get in return, why should people make vacations out of this anymore. Luckily I don't have to spend a lot of time driving there, compared to people that come from Texas and Washington. This is really upsetting as I have met people from all over the country that have only offered to lend a hand whenever they saw the oppurtunity.

By the way, I don't think this is the best approach for looking for new board members either.

NO NO NO guys this is not directed at anyone imparticular don't get the wrong impression I wasn't tryin to state anything but there was this Baby blue Talon 2 years ago that went by yelling stuff at me and my friends and the next night we seen his car ripped apart in the parking lot. I do find it very unfortunate that for most of you guys to come this far and break something and have no place to work on it except there. But no Iwasn't saying anything about anyone in general I like all my customers I deal with and I know how people get when they are filled up with alcohol. I wish to see you all here this year and drink some beer. ANd yes the guys from New England that where down last year that I met here at the shop were some super really nice guys and I talked to a few of them when I rolled through the econolodge parking lot. I talked to ALOT of the DSM guys last year but like a said a few of them were buttholes for no reason and alot were really cool so I take my previous statement back about the 90% it is off it was just a # I through up there. But like I said nothin meant and I hope to see you guys in August. thanks

Any chance that the event will change racing venues and make it out to CA?

So what you changed your post to say 50% instead of 90%. Does that mean I'm only 1/2 dick now? YES YES YES, I got the right impression, you said most, not some. So what is it, you guys no longer care about selling to dsm's or what? I thought it was great seeing Shep's car in Hot Rod this month. If it's only a few are dick's and now some v8 head decides to check this board out, then see's how you "claim" we all "are", you only hurt "all" dsm'ers. So which 10% isn't this directed at? Honestly from writing style, it appears that somebody else made Jrod's latest post. Speaking of dsm "dicks", we just had over a mile long parade in memory of my freind (killed by a drunk driver the night before Thanksgiving). Some how every sort of make / scene was there to show their respects, that just proves that he wasn't one of the many "dicks." Or maybe he doesn't qualify as his latest project was a Caprice, however he'd been to the past several SO's as well. You know it's funny because my favorite shoot out I went to was two years ago. Yet I barely caught the end of the envent that Sunday. I met up with a bunch of other dsm'ers from around the country that Friday, and did other things instead of going to the track. To me it was the people that made the event so much fun. I would think that if all dsm'ers were "dicks", that you would have heard a lot of cheering after it was announced a track worker was injured after Shepard's nitrous incident.

I do not know exactally what was being brought up here but I do care about all my customers and everything. I was just expressing a incident that happened previously and last year was a really good time. As were the other years. I do encourage anyone to come out and have fun, and for those of you have got the wrong idea on this I am sorry for any confusion as I am confused my own self. As for my focus and being ripped on I know people don't like them but I do keep to myself and I was not the one revving around the parking lots last year as I HATE it when people rev at me. I do not start that type of trouble and I am a very big car buff and I like all type's of cars. To each is their own and like I said I do apologize about any confusion or anything this post has caused but Like I said this wasn't directed at anyone imparticular is was from 2 years ago so....it's old news. New year new cars...lets have fun! thanks!

Nice attempt to sweep everything under the carpet. It's good to know what an employee of Buschur Racing REALLY thinks of DSMers when he believes he's not being watched.

I'm one of the "dicks" that has decided not to go to the DSM SellOut next year thanks to your post since I don't really need to take vacation, spend 40 hours on the road, waste my money on gas and hotel, take chances that my car will break down in the middle of nowhere or during a run - and be insulted by the organizers of the event behind my back. Obviously you forgot you wouldn't have a job and there would be no Buschur Racing or DSM ShootOut without the dicks that kept you so amused when they were working on their cars and helping each other in the hotel parking lots. Your lame "apology" is miles from being acceptable and rather just shows how really shallow person you are.
After being confronted, you claimed that you "weren't saying anything about anyone in general". If saying that "90% of these guys are dicks", "the majority of the guys act like ******" and "EVO customers attitudes are A LOT different than those of the DSM guys" is not "saying anything about anyone in general", then I don't know what is.
After being confronted, you claim that your statement "I find it rather amusing to cruise through parking lots and see the tranny's out of the cars that were rippin *** through town the night before yelling stuff out the window. I don't wish bad stuff on anyone but they get what they deserve" was based on one single incident you witnessed and all of a sudden you "find it very unfortunate that for most of you guys to come this far and break something and have no place to work on it except there". Obviously, once busted, you'll tell your customers ANYTHING just to weasel your way out of it - rather than presenting a sincere apology to the DSM community that has paid Buschur's bills for years, brought him where he's now and you insulted.
Anyway, have a good time with the EVO guys at the SellOut. Personally, I hope there are not going to be too many DSMers to amuse you.

OK! Let me first start out at saying this has gone completely in the wrong direction. This was all in the past when I actually did not know ANYTHING about DSM's. I constantly talk to customers and possible customers even on my days off when I am out cruising around, at a car show, or in store or anything like that. So I do care about my customers. And I DO know how it is to be hundreds of miles from home and have to work on a car along the highway or in a parking lot. And I do sincerely apologize to all you guys about all the crap that has been started by this on accident. Basically everything got blown up and takin the wrong way or maybe it was how I worded it or even things that I had left out. I do wish everyone to come to the shootout and hang out, race, and do whatever. Like I said this was not directed towards anyone in particular in anyway. It was along time ago. I do have friendships with my customers and I do not tell them things just so they buy stuff. I do not wish harm on anyone in anyway and I do not wish misfortune on anyone either. I do aplogize and am sorry for all the confusion and ruckus this has caused!

Jrod, stop talking...you are making it worse.

In his defense, as the SO has grown, so has the "undesireable" segment grown. Just like any community, once it grows past a certain point you start seeing the jerks, losers, and (much to my dismay) criminals showing up. Five years ago the idea of someone stealing parts out of somone's car would have blown my mind. Two years ago a guy I know had a 16G stolen out of his car (in the hatch area, not the engine bay).

Now, in defense of DSMers and a Jrod's expense, I think the ratio is 90% 10% but in the opposite direction from what he said. I think he was trying to curry favor with EVO people by telling them how much better they are than DSMers. He blew his mouth off, and it really wouldn't surprise me if Dave fired his dumb *** over this. I wouldn't let him work on my car if I can help it....but I would still by parts from Dave as long as I know I don't have to deal with Jrod.

Last year ShootOut isn't "a long time ago" and when speaking of DSMers, you ARE directing your comment toward someone in particular - in this case 90% of DSM owners.
I sort of expected you to be a man, stand up and simply say that you were a way off the line when bashing DSMers behind their back just to look good in the EVO guys eyes. Meanwhile you've been trying to sweep everything you said under the rag, made aopologies, excuses and explanations for yourself, edited your own post and PMed people who quoted you with requests to edit their posts as well - so no one would ever find out what you said.
I really hope Dave is going to kick you in the nuts for this one.

Were 90% of EVO owners dicks too when Mike E brought his Mark IV down for a single conversion?
