2004 12th Annual DSM/EVO Shootout
The EVO VII was street legal, had plates from Alabama saying EVO VII. He paid some HIGH $$$ to get it here and it did pretty well. I was there and got pics of it up close and personal...it's the real deal VII...with ACD and all. I just wish I had my vanity plates when I got to take pics of it....he had EVO VII from Alabama...I have EVO VIII from Illinois.....would have been a nice pic!
Yes, that is Victors car.
Funny story I have posted before so I won't get too far off topic with it. He had a "3"" exhaust on the car, some imported deal. I checked it out, he liked ours and asked about it. I told him that I would let him put it on the car and if it didn't go faster with ours than the one that was on it I would take it back no hassle. He installed it in our trailer on the lift. We also did a quick adjustment on his HKS AFR. His best before this adjustment and the change to our exhaust was a 13.0 at like 109 if I remember right. It was definetely low 13, maybe 13.1.
Anyway, he ran a series of 12.4's at over 112 mph after this. Needless to say he kept the exhaust and was happy. Nice car, I drove it.

Sounds like a great time although i am a little disapointed. I was looking forward to seeing some of the tube chassis cars like yours, gazars and rou make a few passes at the import event like last year. Do you think any of these guys or yourself will just make an exhibition pass or anything like that just for fun or to show off? Either way should be a very fun time like last year.
Assuming my tube car is back together and I don't sell it and the entire race operation then I will make exhibition runs at the shootout this year. You never know what is going to happen

I wrecked at Englishtown last July. Hit the wall about 150 mph. The car wasn't damaged too bad, about $10,000. The car is ready to be put together, just needs painted.
