I've owned approximately 10 FP turbos over the years. FP is the best, bar none, for innovation to the Evo and DSM community and warranty service, if you ever would need it. All companies that have to build critical parts of the products they offer sometimes have delays that cannot be avoided. If a builder needs to rely on Mitsubishi or Garrett for any parts that are essential, you just have to wait sometimes. There are no other options.

I just received an FP Black direct from FP. It's built from all new parts, since I didn't have a "core" from an Evo IX. It's also ported by FP. It's still in the box, in my office.

Some of you are in a hurry to finish a build and frustrated about the delay. I'm not. I live in Colorado and my car is now stored for the winter. If some of you need an FP Black and have not sent in a core, I'll sell my brand new one, sitting here, for the FP list price plus actual shipping/insurance (and paypal fees unless you pay some other way). In other words, I'll sell it for exactly what it would cost you from FP. I've got plenty of time until spring when my car will be taken out again. You'll need to buy the FP oil kit from them, because the one I have, from my FP Red, is already on the car.

Biggest sob story or longest wait time gets it

I don't really think it's about the wait time. It's that there is no communication from them. Seems most people were never told about the wait time from the get go. If I were to order one and they just took my money and never mentioned it would take months I would be pissed. Seems that somebody should get in touch with them and explain how many people are upset about it and maybe they could save some customers by getting in touch with them with an explanation. I would hope that a vendor here that sells their stuff and has a good relationship with them could get somewhere on the phone and get back to you guys with some answers.

I'm sure they hear from most of these people once or more a week. I'm sure they are aware some of their customers are frustrated. It's likely out of their hands.

How many people asked how long it would likely take when they first bought it? Last time I bought an FP turbo they said it would be about 6 weeks. I got it in like 7 weeks which was as expected considering shipping time.

"ARGH!!!"

Somebody obviously feels cheated. Simply cancel your order if it is that big of a problem and stop *****ing in here. This is nothing new and happens EVERY TIME FP releases the "Hottest New Product" that everybody has to have.
your little skit here is lame. Go draw your cartoons in your notebook or post in a thread that has something to do with you....??

seriously why are you even in this thread...it is in no way relative to you at all. " Hottest new product" this turbo has been released for a long time now and there are two new options available since its release..therefor it is not the " hottest new product.

You all seriously need to chill. This world Thrives on supply and Demand. If you can't be patient go get your FP Black somewhere else. When Apple Ran out of iphone did you see people with "Pitch Forks" lol Or when nintendo didn't have Wii's or when Tickle me elmo was Sold out. I don't think people were knockin down Fischer Prices Door Demanding there product.... they either took there money somewhere else, Paid more for it somewhere else, or Were patient. Most company's that produce Good Products run into this issue. Who knows maybe on purpose sometimes. There's nothin you can do Even the BBB would laugh at you. If this is not a Hot new Turbo. what is? Search FP Black or just look at a page in the forum. Which Product comes up the most?

I was told a week when I asked how long it would take for a fp black conversion. From their on, I got excuses, lies, and hassling. Ive been waiting since July, and have yet to recieve one.

and Nintendo, Fischer Price, and Apple ONLY had supply issues upon initial release, NOT over a year later

Wii had supply issues for 1 Year.... and I'm pretty sure it's harder to manufacturer Turbos then it is PCB Boards and electronics

the build time isn't FP's supply issue genius, it's them being able to get the parts from THEIR supplier. They can build the turbos very fast, but they never have the parts to do so.

Thats what I mean. The issues with the all APPLE and Nintendo whats the PCB and LCD supply and I'm sure it's harder to make parts for turbos then is is to make PCB boards
