Ok
I got the answer for FP as they said my red is number 20 on the waiting list for rebuild and i should get it back right after thanksgiving.

One more note.. They did offer me an upgrade to a black with a very cheap price..
My question is is it worth upgrading to a black?? I have Double pump with pte1200 right now on E85. So i would need new inj. (fic 1450 or fic 1650)and a tune(another 100-200bucks)...
Do you guys think it is worth it since my turbo is already over there and getting an awesome deal?

I know I would gain about 80-100hp but will it spool up close to the red? Mine gets full 33psi at 4100.. Oh also the big issue is i am on stock 6speed as well ( although it works like a champ with the red)

thanks guys

Im hitting 33 psi at about 4700 rpm. You would probably lose about 500 rpm spool is my guess but it also depends on your setup. I hit my full boost of 35 psi at about 5300

They told me today they had to take a break in production as parts were not comming in and were on backorder from others. Robert told me this today and brian told me that I should be in the group of the first batch of turbos going out after thanksgiving. They are going to be getting the turbos built starting at the end of the month. My machine work was done in a week its the turbine and compressor wheels that are holding things up as they are custom not off the shelf.

Lets think I dont see a company rebuilding 1-2 turbos custom at a time as it will be more exspensive to have custom parts made in such a small batch as where a larger batch will cost 1/2 the price.

I don't know since I dont work for them, here a idea call them and ask. I am waiting on a Ported 84mm Red and I am not crying about having to wait 1-2 months as thats what I was told before my order went in. If you cant get parts you cant get parts because your machiner is down or behind what are you going to do.

FP is not keeping anyones $$$ nor do we when someone orders and there is a wait.. You call cancel and get a refund.. Someone talking fraud doesnt know what fraud means obviously.. Fraud would be paying for something, not getting a refund or a product..

There is a reason they are on backorder and its NOT because fp isnt stocking up on the parts needed to build them.. its because they cannot physically supply the parts needed to keep up with the demand.. There is also a reason other turbos made by other companies are immediately available.. because THEY ARE NOT IN HIGH DEMAND.. Lets face it.. No other stock frame turbo in the world makes what an FP black makes.. The community begged for a 600+hp stock frame turbo and when released i sold 10-15 the 1st week.. The simple fact is, you either wait your turn in line or you buy something else.. Im in line just like you guys.. 10 on order and im waiting to get 1 at a time so i can sell them to my clients.. if someone prepays and cant wait its a simple phone call to cancel and get a refund..

Thank you AWD, I knew going in it was going to be a wait and I agree if you don't want to wait go somewhere else. But there is one thing AWD there are some that sent a core in and its machined already so what would you do at that time your core plus in my case $1276.00 cash plus my core. for Ported 84mm core. To refund cash is easy but what about the core IX turbo?

My advice always to people is dont put down your car to send in a core and expect 1 week turn around.. I always advise my customers to find an 8 turbo to drive around on or buy a IX core separate while your turbo is out for upgrades.. Thats what i would do..

These are not the only turbos that have gone on month long backorders.. Turbos that are in HIGH DEMAND go on back order..

I always say the same about restaurants.. people standing complaining about the hour wait so they drive across the street to another restaurant with no wait.. There is a reason there is no wait across the street.. THE FOOD SUCKS..

Well I did that as I knew.it was a wait and don't mind. But others that cry because its been to long and want everything back, what do you do then? The cores are machined down and now its a.month later and the client wants their stuff back along with their cash. How do you handle that. Also I have a VIII and so had to buy a IX turbo lol

You have to PAY to PLAY.. you buy and 8 turbo and put on your car til the black is ready and if you dont want it you sell it for a profit to someone who cant wait.. i have people offer me 200 over retail who didnt want to wait..
