Ok maybe you don't understand, a person who sends a core IX fur o in page the upgrade price and then wants a refund but the turbo is modified just not finished what do you do then?

I understand... Like i said I buy an 8 turbo drive around on til the Black is ready and either use it or sell it.. once you send it in and they modify it you have no choice but to wait til its ready i guess.. never in 3 years had that issue.. Maybe FP has a solution IDK

Ok, that's what I thought. I just can't wait for my turbo to come back lol as its the font part. To those here crying be patient call FP as mike said get a refund if you paid if you have not cancel and go else where. I wonder how many did not order direct with FP as in that case should be contacting their ordering site/shop.

There is a reason they are on backorder and its NOT because fp isnt stocking up on the parts needed to build them.. its because they cannot physically supply the parts needed to keep up with the demand.. There is also a reason other turbos made by other companies are immediately available.. because THEY ARE NOT IN HIGH DEMAND.. Lets face it.. No other stock frame turbo in the world makes what an FP black makes.. The community begged for a 600+hp stock frame turbo and when released i sold 10-15 the 1st week.. The simple fact is, you either wait your turn in line or you buy something else.. Im in line just like you guys.. 10 on order and im waiting to get 1 at a time so i can sell them to my clients.. if someone prepays and cant wait its a simple phone call to cancel and get a refund..
I just ordered mine and then found out about the wait, I can be patient for what I have seen with the numbers being put down I know it is worth it. I am in the desert and wanted to build my engine when i get home on the 22nd looks like i will do everything but the turbo and wait but all is good, my wife just got a call 2 days ago and they told her should be there in 2 weeks we will see....
Also with the issue of FP Turbos failing or blowing up I saw a thread about what oil need to be used: Race engines that operate with oil temps above 200F should run 20w-50 weight racing oil. GF-4 classification oil is NOT racing oil, GF-4 is emissions priority oil that basically has all of the high pressure additives removed from it to avoid damaging catalytic converters and reduce tailpipe emissions. Brad Penn 20w-50 is racing oil. There are also plenty of other suitable oils available from Amsoil, Joe
Gibbs, Valvoline and Royal purple for example that fall into the same basic performance level for high pressure -friction protection.

I spoke with Robert @ FP and was informed if the customer ordered direct they do not take anyones $$ unless they insist to pay.. So a simple phone call to cancel is all thats needed should you decide you cancel your FP turbo and go with an inferior product or stay with your current setup due to the wait..

That's funny brian called me and said sorry about the wait, but when the parts come in they are going to get the turbos out. I can't wait and I definitely would not order a lower product with service like this.

I have only had good service spoke to robert about oil since I got Valvoline VR1 Non-Synthetic race oil and Robert assisted me and assured me that the non synthetic oil was fine to run due to the zink and phosphorus content and I was happy with he time he took. They have been nothing but helpful so those who doubt it cancel and goto ebay or get a big turbo kit lol I want a fast spool and with FP service I wont go big for a long time. I just hope the 6 speed allows me to enjoy the turbo lol.

I know everyone's patience is being tested, i too have a IX to black upgrade waiting at FP. I sent a buddy to Mike to get a Black purchased a few weeks back and Mike was kinda enough to give him an alternate option cuz my buddy could not wait any longer. Took care of him even though it was not AWD's fault the turbo was held up. I was lucky enough to have a buddy lend me his black before year's end Test and Tune and ran my first ever 10 second run EVER!!

Moral of my post "It's worth waiting for"!!! BTW everyone I'm not sponsored by FP or AWD but I can honestly say these are 2 great companies that just ran into a bind with parts/supply.

Well that's sales call and hit option 3.

Its like n03lsevo said im not sponsored by AWD or FP but supply and demand is high and Mike said it a few post back. If you want a great product you have to wait. If you can't go buy the HKS Turbo see allot of those up for sale see FP turbos a well but majority of them want to go to a bigger FP turbo which tells me its worth waitingf. So stop crying and understand these are not off the shelf turbos their CUSTOM so relax.

This might explain why there is a wait.. 40% of all turbos running right now are FP Blacks.. over 87% are FP in general.. You think they are busy?? LOL
