So I read through a lot of this thread but not all of it. Maybe I missed it, but has anyone considered running that balance shaft inspection breather line up to the intake to help scavenge some crankcase pressures??

No but I run the one out the balance shift hole itself and that moves air

I heard that running a VTA style oil catch can that it can cause crank case pressure and possible cause some oil burning. I have the buschur oil catch can on my 9 and every once in a while after driving and coming to a stop ill have a little smoke come from the exhaust.

Iv been having the issue of burning oil and the block has less than 5k on it, less than 2k on the turbo and the valve seals were replaced just 500 miles ago. still blue smoke when coming to s a stop, its making me crazy. I refuse to believe my rings are bad. could putting the pcv valve back in and using the IM again work?

I got a chance to hook up my sealed catch can and drive the car and it resolved all of my issues with my ball bearing fp red. those of which caused the car to smoke on WOT and to leak oil into the compressor housing

2x -10an fittings in the valve cover to a sealed can with a -12an fitting going to the intake to pull vacuum

What about the PCV side port, did you delete / plugged that side?

Would be interesting to see what level of vacuum is being generated at the connection to the intake pipe. I measured almost 4 psi of vacuum when running MAF, but I haven't measured the vacuum with a speed density setup. I have been assuming that it would be in the range of 0.5-1 psi of vacuum which doesn't seem like much.

Weird, I run two -10s from the head (no PCV) and a -6 from the BSI plug all to a vented catch can with no adverse effects, no smoke, etc.

It also solved my dipstick blowing out issue, and collects moisture just fine.

I got a cool catch can yesterday from Radium for my blue evo since im a dealer for them. I'm gonna post a little bit of pics of it in here when i get some free time.

But from just quick inspection, the catch can is of awesome quality. it has a little dipstick built into it that you screw in and pull out to check the level of the oil in the can. I don't know the history of this company, but it seems like their products are very high quality.

Everything's Billet. And build quality seemed amazing.

Is what I'm referring to.

^Running this set up for the past 3 months. Looks great and functions perfectly. Dipsticks are very useful for gauging how much blow-by has accumulated.

I've only got it set up with factory hose routing right now but I don't have any crankcase pressure issues at the moment. Radium makes it very easy to change all fittings and lines to accommodate any -AN fitting. Very slick setup! Here's my personal car:
