Oil surge on drag launch
I've been gathering parts for a while now and bought one of these Tomei slicing baffles and plan on putting in my 4G63. But I have been toying with building a LR2.4 with the 100mm crank and I feel confident that I could modify it to fit with spacers and or a dremel tool. It's cheap enough to purchase and check into it...it just may be worth it.
I have never tested anything back to back but we run about a half quart extra in our cars while racing. It helps with the launch and the back end of the track while the head is full of oil.

Just something worth noting, your oil temp was 25C higher on the first run.
It might not be the main difference, but I bet it isn't helping.
I like the idea of an accusump, but I don't like the idea of the extra weight and if you can get solid oil control with just some tweaks to the pickup/pan and things like Kiggly's regulator, I'd rather go that route.

I already have the kiggly regulator in the head.
I'm thinking that with a good oil pan i should be able to solve the problem, i'm just wondering if a modified oil pan will work for track work too.
At the end of the day, an accusump is a band aid to a problem that is already there. I should really fix it rather than covering it up
Cheers, Mike
