Odd clutch engagement "whine".

Hello I have an act 6 puck the pressure plate has approximately 20k on it and the disk has around 15k as I changed it when I put my new tranny in. I am experiencing a strange kind of whine noise whenever I am downshifting and release the clutch it seems for a split second as the clutch slips into gear it makes this whining noise that can only be related to when you watch a movie and hear a ship sinking or metal collapsing. It also does this mildly when I am starting out in first. This disk has seen no launches and I have not heard this noise until it started getting cold here. The noise is very very quiet but I know that it is there and just want some input as to what you guys think it may be and if it is bad. Thanks in advance.

Im on giken twin plate, when I engage and havent fully let go of the clutch theres whining. And sometimes when I down the gear. But theres no issue. Does ur clutch hold boost? I would say ur clutch needs time to get warmed up. U shouldn't be worrying that much.

the "walrus" sound is very common with aftermarket clutches. If ur boost is holding well then theres nothing to worry about

I was coming on here to post the same problem, and then I found this. I've had my evo for about 4 months and it's supposed to have an ACT stage 2 clutch in it.(about 30,000 miles ago). I'm definately getting the walrus noise. It mainly occurs when I downshift in any gear at any speed. So this is normal? It seems to have gotten louder, but it also has gotten really cold here.(east TN). If you hold the rpm's at 2,000rpm in neutral it is silent, but if you push the clutch in you can slightly hear the walrus. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
