You have to have a leak if the boost was going higher than that before. Where did you install the boost input to the manual controller after installing the intercooler and lower pipe kit?

The input line is on the upper intercooler pipe

You either have a leak in a coupling or the boost controller has a problem.

The easiest way to find the leak is to build a boost leak tester. It's very simple or you can purchase one from a vendor who makes one. I think STM sells one.

It's a coupler that matches your turbo inlet size and a pvc cap. You drill a hole into the pvc cap and use a push type valve stim. Once you get the tester made make sure the car is off, take off the intake and then pressurize the system. It will be very easy to listen to for a leak without the car running.

Good Luck!

Here is a link to a DIY: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html (This is from my early dsm days)

Thanks,

Michael
