2.3L Stroker kit opinions.
So after reading a bunch of threads and changing my mind a million times, I think I want to go with the 2.3L stroker kit. I would love a 2.4L but I find it too complicated. I'm not gonna buy an already built kit by a company because most of the ones I see are with parts I don't want or already have.
I already have bearings, main studs, head studs. The reason I made this thread though is because I've had a drop-in kit that I've been pondering if I should put in or not. I need some opinions. Just for reference, I have an FPBlack now on pump, I probably wont switch for a while but I can get an HTA86 turbo kit if I wanted to, which I might do after I get tired of the Black.
So should I sell what I have now and buy the 2.3L parts?? Thanks for the help.
This is what I have now:
Wiseco Custom 10:1 pistons(stock bore)
Manley H-Beam PLUS Rods
Bearings
Main Studs
Etc
This is what I'm thinking of buying:
Wiseco Custom 10:1 Compression 2.3L Pistons
Manley Turbo Turf Rods or I-Beam
OEM 100mm Crank
Balance Shaft eliminator
Etc

There's a broader opinion base on this site, I can call my friend/builder Cwill but I already know his opinion and he'll go with whatever I want to anyways. What would you go with?
lol you already know what im going to say lol you need to buckle down and get a 2.4 lol you have my number use it lol. but as far as a 2.3 goes plenty of nice kits to choose from for real. might be cheaper(pricewise) to just buy the parts needed instead of buying a pre-made kit that will have mark up on it. How is mona going being coated i have not heard from carlos so i dont know but i know he has it for real.

I know man but I'm gonna use my own block cause my timing belt change is coming up. I am gonna buy all the parts separately, I could probably even use the H-Beam PLUS rods I have now...i think. I also hate that all the stroker kits I see are only like 8.7:1 or 9.0:1 compression....I WANT 10:1!!! lol
I would go 2.0 all of the way....even on a streetcar. The rod ratio is great, you can rev it to 9500+ providing you have a good set of internals, and I'm one who never got into the stroker business. My personal opinion with the Evo and its 2.0 is that if want to go faster, downshift and you're there. I have an E55 AMG with its 5.5L supercharged V8 if I want torque and access to a twin turbo S600 if I want even more, the point being that the Evo isn't a torque king or even queen lol. Use the 2.0 for the benefits that the larger displacement engines cannot...revving. That and the fact that you already have the stock bore pistons, no need to keep changing your mind. Use what you have.

Those rods are used for builds with less than 600 hp...ish. Me personally, If there was one part on a car that I would not skimp out on, any part from wheels to tail lights, it would be the rods. The rods are the one part, more than any other part, that I would over build because they encounter a huge amount of stress. Not to go off topic, but a close second would be the t-case.
