flutter or surge on stock 9 bov
if your valve opens and the valve is backward... IT STILL GOES INTO THE INTAKE... osmosis or convection or fluid dynamics... whatever proven theory you want to follow all say high pressure anything will look for the quickest way out to a lower pressure area... .a DV isnt a ****ing check valve... epic fail... you... face palm... go....
back to OP... don't listen to shark... he clearly is a moron... i feel bad for anyone else he's given advice to...
to fugi... i like my valve... it works.. its solid... i don't mind the flutter... the OP minds the flutter. i was just demonstrating that on a solid built car there is flutter so its normal and his car isn't broke...
to scothu... i was tipsy both times... i just referred to it as lit before... which you probably took as high... but i get tested so i dont do drugs...

I have a slight flutter at low-boost let off (around 3-4K) on a stock 9 BOV, Cone Intake & LICP, but it's pretty rare and I can avoid it depending on my gear selection and driving style. It seems to me that it's just a side-effect of increased air-flow in the system and the after-market intake just makes it loud enough to hear it. Compressor surge is something to worry about but that's not what you have. I would still double check that your hoses are all on tight, and do a turbo leak test when you get a chance, I need to do that myself, fixing a leak is always a good idea.
Turbo surge is under boost not off throttle... Unless you have a turbine speed sensor you can't test it because you can't see if the wheel is speeding up or not... Off throttle the flutter is cause by vacuum changes which techically Im sure does increase and decrease turbine speed... But the turbines not being pushed by the exhaust it would be do to the speed being so high and it having to slow to the required speed... Not the exhaust tryin to speed the turbine up forcing into a brick wall of air which is why the blades bend and sheer off...
Go flex your internet muscles else where cause you aren't gonna do anything but run your mouth...
